I was involved in the renovation of an old stone house for many years and this series reflects that period of time and immersion. Through layering and collaging in the glass, these pieces evoke a dream space reminiscent of another era. I used vitreous enamel as a painting medium, firing the glass on steel. Additional glass techniques used were sifting, airbrush, drawing with ceramic pencils, and collage with ceramic decals. A limited selection of work from this series is shown below.
